Monster-A-Thon, Strike Against Cancer is Oct. 27 in Mt. Morris

The first annual Monster-A-Thon — Strike Against Cancer in memory of Marilyn "Mernie" Agnew will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. at Town & Country Lanes, 4031 W. Mud Creek Rd., Mt Morris.

The event will include bowling, a Halloween costume contest, silent auction, and raffles.

The entry fee of $12.50 includes two games of bowling, shoes, and snacks. No fee will be charged to non-bowlers.

Proceeds of the event will be used to help those affected by cancer and the places that help them.

Payment and reservations for bowlers are due by Saturday, Oct. 20 and may be sent to The McDanels, 2248 Mallard Drive, Freeport, IL 61032.

Anyone who plans to attend but is not bowling is asked to call 815-238-3476 or email twinpackduo@hotmail.com.
