Dennis R. Allen

Dennis R. Allen, 60, Rice Lake, Wis., died Thursday, Dec.13, 2012 at his home in the care of his family and hospice.

He was born Oct. 19, 1952 in Rochelle to John and Bertha (Bolhous) Allen.

He married Pam Hefter  on Oct. 21, 1972 in Rice Lake, Wis.

Dennis was self-employed most of his life.  He was “jack of all trades” and worked hard and played hard.

Dennis also enjoyed fishing, golfing, riding his ATV and spending time with friends and family.

Family was the most important thing in Denny’s life.  He enjoyed his yearly family reunions in Illinois.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Allen, Rice Lake, Wis.; 2 sons, Michael (Sara) Allen, Barron, Wis., and Gary (Angie) Allen, (Rice Lake, Wis.; a daughter, Casey (Mark) Allen, Bloomer, Wis.; 4 grandchildren, Jordyn, Jayce, Leah and Karlee Allen; his mother, Bertha (Don) Kennay, Ashton; and a sister, Carol (Tim) Saffert, Madison, Wis.

He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis “D.J.” Allen; his father, John Allen; and a sister, Dianne Schultz.

Funeral services were Dec. 17 at Appleyard's Home for Funerals, Rice Lake, Wis., with Rev. Susan Anderson officiating.  
Burial will take place at a later date.
