Susan R. Hartman, 52, Polo, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 at Serenity Hospice and Home, Oregon.

Susan was born Sept. 7, 1960 in Rockford, the daughter of Robert “Bob” Thayne and Nina Jean (Burgard) Campbell I. 

She graduated from Dixon High School in the Class of 1979.  She married Mike Hartman on Aug. 27, 1983 in Dixon. 

Susan was a domestic engineer. 

She was in Madrigals and the Robed Choir while she attended Dixon High School. 

She belonged to Cross Roads Church, Polo.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Hartman, Polo; children: William (Abby) Hartman, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Maggie (David) Swaim, Winterset, Iowa, Naomi Hartman, Colorado Springs, Colo., Aaron (Emily) Hartman, Lanark, Emily, Nathan, and Hannah Hartman, Polo; grandchildren: Aubrey Hartman, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Joanna Swaim, Winterset, Iowa; brother, Robert “Bob” (Vonda) Campbell, Freeport;and sister, Toni (Dan) Cunningham, Aurora.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Memorial services were held Feb. 2 at Cross Roads Church, 205 N. Jefferson, Polo, with Pastors Charles Babler and Chad Kettaman officiating. 

Burial was in West Branch Cemetery.

Arrangements were completed by Finch Funeral Home, Mt. Morris.

Memorials have been established to Serenity Hospice and Home and  Alfa-Omega Ministries, 620 Carraway Road, Graham, N.C. 27253.
