Countless volunteers helped complete the relocation of Angel Treasure's Resale Shop last week.

The store moved to its new Mt. Morris location at 4045 W. Ill. 64 March 29 and was open for business on Monday morning.

"The Oregon High School softball team helped with the move," said Lynn Knodle, executive director of Serenity Hospice and Home. "We want to thank all the volunteers from the staff of Serenity, our board members, and the landlord."

The move was completed without a hitch and they were settling into their new store, she said.

The shop was formerly located in downtown Oregon and had a lack of easy parking for customers and those dropping off donations.

At the new location they have ample parking.

"The donations will be accepted at the west door," said Knodle. "We also have a laundry room with a window."

Knodle said the setup for the store is more like a boutique rather then a typical resale shop.

Angel Treasures is a second hand resale shop operated by Serenity Hospice and Home.

Mark Russell, the landlord, made renovations to the building to allow for an easy move in.

The store hours will be adjusted as needed to accommodate customer needs.

Proceeds from sales at Angel Treasures supports Serenity Hospice and Home.

They accept donations of good used clothing, housewares, furniture, toys, glassware, dishes, collectibles, seasonal items, movies and music.

They do not accept baby seats, cribs, mattresses, or large appliances.
