The Oregon Chamber of Commerce has released this year's addition to the keepsake ornament collection.
The 2013 Chamber Christmas ornament celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the WOODS Equipment Company invention of the “Batwing.”
The pearl white matte finish ornament features a black and orange emblem designed especially for this edition.
In 1989 the Oregon Chamber of Commerce began the annual tradition of producing a keepsake Christmas ornament that celebrates a special anniversary or place within our community.
Past anniversary nods have included the Oregon VFW Post, Sinnissippi Forest, White Pines Ranch, the Oregon Public Library, and the Oregon City Clock.
The Black Hawk Statue, the Soldiers and Sailors Monument, the historic Ogle County Courthouse, historic Chana School and Iron Mike, are a few of the points of interest chosen for past ornaments.
Ornaments are $10 and can be purchased at the chamber office, 124 N. Fourth St. Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and at the Oregon City Hall during regular business hours.
To reserve an ornament call the chamber at 815-732-2100.
